Custom built Jim Steinmeyers - Modern Art This prop was custom made for a production show that was used once and is in excellent condition. The illusion was built out of half inch marine ply that will not twist bend or warp during climate changes that will ensure the life of the prop for a long time. The marine ply is 60% lighter than birch or cabinet grade ply for a lightweight prop for transporting. It has been covered in a black Formica and trimmed with aluminum for an industrial look. The side table has been covered in aluminum for an industrial style also. The top half moves on a cabinet grade slides and ball bearing roller for ultra smooth transition. There has been inlaid aluminum C channels for flash string effect instead of a knife. The top half slides off and locks into place for performance.
